We had 1 guest, Saunia who bravely participated in Table Topics and was awarded the Spark Plug Award.!
Our word of the day was: Vivacious
We had two wonderful speeches, one by Emily on her late grandmother and one by Jyl on providing CPR [ably assisted by the sound track to Saturday Night Fever!!] – yes its true – now aren’t you sorry you missed this meeting. Jyl and Emily tied for Best Speaker.
Tim and Colin battled hard for Best Evaluator, but Colin clinched the award, together with his Best Table Topics award – well done Colin!!
We had an important Hindes Thimble Theatre where Derek reviewed the findings of Peter Coy’s recent Moment of Truth workshop we did a few weeks ago.
A special thanks to Peter Coy who so ably stepped in at the last minute to do As I See It, the QuizMaster and the scribe for notes for the HTT.
In terms of areas to be mindful of how we can continuously improve the club – is watching the timing. We seem to be consistently running out of time towards the 2nd part of the meeting and the result is less time for the Toastmaster, GE second report, shorter Quizmaster role etc., etc. – so this is something we must really be mindful off as a club.
